Privacy Policy for ValueShift Video Conferencing App
Effective Date: February 24, 2026 This Privacy Policy explains how ValueShift App we collects, uses, and discloses information when you use our video conferencing app, ValueShift App.

We prioritize your privacy to the utmost extent possible, collecting only the minimal data strictly necessary for the App to function. We do not engage in unnecessary tracking, profiling, advertising, or data sales—sharing occurs only as required for operations or by law (including national security obligations).This is a sample policy for informational purposes and is not legal advice. Depending on your location and users, laws such as Australia’s Privacy Act, GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, or others may apply. 1. Information We Collect We collect only the bare minimum:

  • Account and Registration Information: Email address and basic details (e.g., username) provided during registration or sign-in.
  • Payment and Subscription Information: Subscriptions and invoices (to cover transaction costs only) are processed exclusively by Stripe. Stripe directly collects and handles payment details (e.g., card information, billing address). We do not store full card details—we receive only limited data from Stripe, such as subscription status, invoice IDs, and transaction confirmations for account and billing management.
  • Technical Session Data: Minimal metadata for real-time conferencing, such as temporary IP address (for connection routing), device type, and call duration. This is used only during active sessions and deleted shortly afterward (typically within hours to a few days for troubleshooting).
  • Conference Content: Audio, video, and screen-sharing are processed in real-time with end-to-end encryption. We have no access to the content and do not store recordings unless you explicitly enable and consent to such a feature (if available).

We do not collect location data, contact lists, device contacts, behavioral tracking, analytics beyond basic operational logs, or any other unnecessary or sensitive personal information.

2. How We Use Your InformationWe use data solely to:

  • Create and manage your account.
  • Facilitate video conference connections.
  • Process subscriptions and billing via Stripe.
  • Send essential communications (e.g., verification, password resets, billing notices).
  • Ensure basic service reliability and security (e.g., abuse detection).
  • Comply with legal requirements.

No use for marketing, advertising, research, or secondary purposes.

3. Data Storage, Retention, and Security

  • Retention: Email/account data kept while your account is active. Limited Stripe-related records retained only as needed for billing, disputes, or legal/tax compliance. Session metadata deleted promptly after sessions. No content stored by default.
  • Security: End-to-end encryption for media streams, TLS for transmissions, secure authentication, and industry-standard measures. Stripe manages cardholder data in a PCI DSS-compliant environment.

No system is 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect the limited data we hold.

4. Sharing and Disclosure We share information only in limited cases:

  • With Stripe: Necessary account/subscription details (e.g., email, subscription ID) for payment processing. Stripe acts as an independent controller/processor for payment data—see their Privacy Policy at https://stripe.com/privacy.
  • With Essential Service Providers: Trusted providers (e.g., minimal cloud hosting), bound by strict agreements for our purposes only.
  • Legal Obligations: If required by law, court order, or government request—including for national security or law enforcement.
  • Business Transfers: In mergers, acquisitions, or asset sales, with equivalent protections.

We do not sell, rent, or share for marketing/advertising.

5. Your Rights and Choices Under applicable laws, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your data. Contact us at info@valueshift.com.au or support@valueshift.com.au to request. We respond promptly (e.g., within 30–45 days per relevant laws). Delete your account directly in App settings to remove registration data (subject to any legal retention obligations).

6. Children’s Privacy The App is not directed to children under 13 (or 16 in some jurisdictions). We do not knowingly collect data from children. If discovered, we delete it immediately.

7. International Data Transfers Data may be processed in the United States or other countries. We use appropriate safeguards (e.g., Standard Contractual Clauses where required) for transfers.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy We may update this policy. Significant changes notified via email or in-app. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
